Bebe & Serge loomed up directly from the most exotic concave dimension to incarnate in Tucson, Arizona and combat the great flatulent, murky darkness.
You can measure the theraputic power of their super-variable music ( pop rock, rap, disco, hula-hoop) by this trivial detail chosen at random from the many dozens of moving testamonies and certified miracles: in June 2001, a technician from the Masschewglue Institute of Technology in Pasadena was listening to Bebe & Serge while tinkering around with a computer virus, just to pass the time. After only three songs, all the computers in the complex were dead, emptied of their vital substance, memories annihilated.
Another troubling fact, that only science has failed to explain: when Bebe, who is hostess to a karaoke bar and announcer on Limbo Radio, encourages amateur vocalizing or is autographing a record, the person in question immediately starts tap-dancing while smiling ecstatically. Get it ? Such is the power of Bebe & Serge!
Believe, brothers and sisters! Believe in Bebe & Serge who have come among us to save us from corporate boredom. Here, is the rage of creation! Here, is voluptiousness revealed in THE record " Spaced Out Supernova Superstar ". Go in peace and noise.

Bebe & Serge is the story of two cretins from Tucson Arizona. Serge has a girlfriend and her name is Bebe. A hysterical one, I tell you. A nut. At first glance, you'd think you could trust her. But after that first glance, forget it. Case closed, filed and hopeless. Bebe had the misfortune in life of getting together with that devil Serge. He's even worse. No one really knows where he came from. He looks like a kamikaze from nowhere. A cross between a Vietnamese and a GI. Plus, Serge holds the Arizona record, and maybe even the world record, for spitting out the greatest number of words in five minutes flat. The guy never stops talking, and it's not just shit. He zeros in, too. And that's why Bebe & Serge were made for each other. Like twins. It was written that these two were destined, for better or worse.
Nobody has yet perceived that in Tucson, Arizona there are two patented heros, Their names : Serge and his little friend Bebe. Both of them have been fooling around with musical instruments and even more bizarre tools for years. They seem to have developed a taste for the... bizarre. To such a point that today they have been recorded, just like any other musician on the planet. The first record by Bebe & Serge is called "Spaced Out Supernova Superstar".
On an idle winter evening around 8 o'clock, someone knocks on the door. DON'T OPEN IT ! It could be - as it was in my case - the mailman, bringing an express package from The States. Right there, I should have been suspicious. The strange lumpy shape of the package should have warned me. But at 8 o'clock in the evening, there are always excuses. The package in question contained a huge can of peanuts, Planters Peanuts to be exact, mixed nuts with less than 50% peanuts, the rest being composed of toasted almonds, cashews and salted hazelnuts. Can you believe it. Less than 50% peanuts. Partytime. Here's what was in the express package from the U.S.: a huge can weighing more than a kilo and a half full of... PEANUTS...
which is not nothing, a few drawings and a few records by Bebe & Serge. These two had sent me a dozen or so records of their own production. Hand-made. Of their own crafting. For example, there was no biography in the can of peanuts. Nothing about their lives, where they come from, what they do and - EXISTENTIAL QUESTION - what groups they had played with and - GREAT GOD ALMIGHTY - who had produced their album. None of that... be sure. No distinct sign of an ounce of budding celebrity. Now about the drawings in that bloody can of nuts : drawings by Bebe & Serge. Drawings illustrating themselves made by themselves. These were the press photos. Serge drawn as a dog and Bebe with stumpy legs, Serge in a TV set and Bebe wiggling next to him. Unsellable.
The true identity of the titles of the record can reveal much about the personalities of those who have composed them. Bebe & Serge are particularly talented for dropping titles that will stand out in the history of music of yesterday, tomorrow and contemporary music. The first song is called "You Owe Me", then "Donkey"...,then "Spaced Out Supernova Superstar", "Backyard Compost", " Turbo", then our favorite, "Daughter of Darkness", "Berke & Barry", "Not Far From Home", "Bottle of Wine", "Keegan's Alley", "Comé Churro" and to round off "Master Plan". There you are. 13 Bebe & Serge songs , their life, their work.
